It can be a bit of a minefield finding exactly the right Epson ink cartridges to fit your particular printer. If you walk into your local computer warehouse you'll find rack after rack of ink cartridges, many of which look identical to the untrained eye. At

Say for example your printer model (they all have a badge showing model number) is an Epson Stylus Photo R300... Having arrived at the Epson inks page you simply click "Stylus Photo", then scroll down to the R300 and click again. The page that opens up shows ONLY ink cartridges (and cheap ink cartridges) that fit the R300 - not other Epson ink cartridges designed to fit one of their many other printers. You can buy safe in the knowledge that you'll receive the correct ink cartridges - and fast!
Over the years Epson have produced many different styles and models of inkjet printer. They have become well known for offering very well priced printers - from basic desktop models for home users, right up to wide format professional photo machines. In between there have been numerous multi-function and photo printers priced between around £50 and £200. The mass market widely available "Epson Stylus" ranges of printers have a fixed printhead as an integral part of the machine itself. The advantage of this is that when you change an Epson ink cartridge you are simply replacing a plastic tank filled with liquid. With some other manufacturers every time you replace a cartridge you're replacing the whole printhead - a more expensive exercise. The other big advantage with Epson ink cartridges for their more recent printer ranges is the advent of seperate colour cartridges. If you run out of one colour you simply replace that particular ink cartridge, rather than having to throw away a part-full tri-colour cartridge just because one colour has been depleted.
Cheap Epson ink cartridges are non-branded (but legal of course) brand new vacuum-wrapped and boxed copies made by somebody other than the Seiko Epson Corporation. They are widely known as Epson Compatible ink Cartridges. Although they are not technically Epson ink cartridges, the ones on sale at
Inksave are made to exacting quality standards in factories with laboratory-like environments. Each one has an electronic chip so the printer can determine approximate remaining ink levels. Although known as cheap ink cartridges, the standard of print results is excellent, and they cost a fraction of the price of Epson original inks.
